Chinese food made easy.. in Ullapool?

I caught a slightly strange show on BBC2 yesterday teaching people how to make Chinese food.

Apparently next week’s episode (Mon 21st July at 8.30pm) comes from Ullapool & the focus is on seafood.

The show features Ching-He Huang and the page covering the episode can be found here on the BBC website. The site says that the nearest Chinese takeaway is 60 miles away in Kinlochbervie but I know there used to be the Jade House in the Latheron Centre. It was listed in my post on restaurants, bars and cafes in the area a while ago. Has it shut down?

  1. Write up from ‘Loch Broom Blethers’ in the Ross-shire Journal. Apparently the fisherman who showed Ching-He Huang around the area was called Sandy Watters.
