For 4 generations my family have owned a house, Greenhill, in Achiltibuie. It is comfortably & traditionally furnished & set in its own gardens. There are fantastic views across to the Summer Isles and direct access down to the sea via a short walk over the croft.

The house sleeps between 2 to 6 people & has a sitting room with open fire, dining room, kitchen and utility room. There is a victorian bathroom with the original enamel bath and a shower. The house is heated by electric storage heaters in each of the rooms. It has a small TV, washing machine and tumble drier. There is parking space for 3 cars next to the house.

BOOKING FOR NEXT YEAR (2010) HOLIDAYS:

We have just opened up bookings for 2010 holidays. Please be aware that popular weeks go very quickly so early reservations are recommended.

All details are as listed above. Lettings run Sat – Sat.

The cost for a week’s rent is as follows:

High Season. (£670/per week) weeks commencing: 1st May; 29th May; 26th June – 28th August.

Medium Season. (£550/per week) w/c: 3rd April; 8th May – 22nd May; 5th June – 19th June; 4th September – 2nd October; 23rd October.

Low season. (£430/per week) w/c: 2nd January – 27th March; 10th April – 24th April; 9th October – 16th October; 30th October – 18th December.

At the moment I do not plan to update this site with details of which weeks are available and which have been booked. Letting periods run from 3 pm on Saturday afternoons to 11 am the following Saturday.

Included in your rental is everything apart from bed linen and towels – these are available for £7 per person. Please make sure to request at your time of booking. A non-refundable booking deposit of £200 per week is required to reserve your week with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. The house is no-smoking and I’m afraid that we do not allow pets.

We employ a local caretaker rather than a cleaner. By booking you agree to leave the house clean and tidy for future visitors. Full instructions will be waiting for you on arrival and our caretaker will call to arrange pick up of the key.
